About Us

Westaff was founded in 1948 by W. Robert Stover, was incorporated in 1954 and became a public company in 1996. In March 2009, Westaff was acquired by The Select Family of Staffing Companies, a top 10 industry leader with a national network of over 300 offices.

Westaff located in Anchorage, AK started in this location in August of 2001. Ron Fraze and Bob Lervaag, the local managers, have been in the temporary help business in Alaska for more than 20 years.

Meet the Owner and Branch Manager

Ron Fraze has been a resident of Alaska for 39 years. Ron has been very involved in the human resource field for 25 years. Some of his accomplishments are as follows: certified senior professional in human resources, past president of the Anchorage Society of Human Resource Management, Member of the Year in 1989, state director Alaska State Council for the Society of Human Resources and board member National Foundation for Society of Human Resource Management. In addition, Ron has accomplished the following: organized and moderated the Y2K public forum for the city of Anchorage, served on the Advisory Board for Charter Hospital, finance chairman for the Governor's Prayer Breakfast, chairman of the board for Alaska Junior College, and was a board member for Northwest College in Kirkland, WA.
